Can I just say to those of you have been through this chemotherapy lark – congratulations – and knowing that you have come through it makes me realise I will feel better at some point in the future. I’m counting on it as this is awful.

Over the past few weeks I have been in hospital for tests, pre-chemo meetings and visiting the wonderful Fountain Centre. Being in and out of hospital, helping to organise Tom, as he was on holiday, and not sleeping in anticipation of the treatment, I have been really tired and have found concentration difficult. I don’t like chemotherapy! I was really sick the evening of the treatment and was back in hospital until midnight. Since then I have struggled to eat and drink, have been tired and really quite affected by the whole thing. Anyway, one down, five to go! Hopefully August will come quickly!

I keep seeing planes fly overhead, seeing people enjoying the sun, but at least there are fewer possible risks of infection at this time of year, so meeting people is less of a risk.

Thank you to everyone for the lovely Easter cards, the get well cards and the kind thoughts I keep receiving. They are all lovely.
